Agriturismo Calagrana is set 350m above sea level upon the hillside of the Niccone Valley 6 km from the Tuscan boarder. Calagrana is a family run farm with accommodation and restaurant run by the owners.

The property is made up of two stone farm structures, the main building a once was farmhouse with cattle lowing underneath, a standard practice this was to keep the family warm with the heat from the beasts. This now the accommodation for the guests, made up of five large double bedrooms and three mini apartments, each with independent entrance.
The second building now the intimate restaurant with two verandas for summer dinning and views over the valley and swimming pool, this was once the store for the tractors and other farm machinery, both properties have been restored to the highest standard with original stone exposure.
Calagrana is pleased that they have been give the certification of Organic status for their farm.
The 400sq meter vegetable garden and 30-tree strong fruit orchard are all organically produced, as are the livestock.
The stock of Tibetan pigmy goats, French white goats and White back pigs are all raised upon an organic diet, and are free range in large paddock areas.
Calagrana is surrounded by five hectors of immediate land including woods and the green valley which goes on for miles upon either side of the estate.

Many activities may be enjoyed whilst staying at Calagrana, whether it is a fun filled morning of cooking with Alberto, or a ramble upon many of the routes available.
We are happy to offer the connections to guided walking tours with local avid walker and author Martin, or horse back riding in near by stables, we are also able to arrange wine tours in local vineyards.
We have also happy been host to many painting groups at Calagrana visiting for the views and peace surrounding the property.
